ADM1100 Introduction to Business Management (3,0,0) 3 cr.

This course provides the student with the basic knowledge necessary to effectively manage an organization. The student will learn what constitutes the manager’s role and how the managerial functions of planning, organizing, leading, controlling, and communication are used to oversee the organization’s human, financial, physical, material, and commercial resources. In particular, through the case method approach, students will be introduced to the art of logical problem solving, while addressing such issues as corporate social responsibility and managerial ethics. This course cannot be combined for credits with ADM1300. (Course open only to Telfer School of Management certificate students and students registered in other faculties. Cannot be taken for credit by Telfer School of Management baccalaureate students nor be combined for credits with ADM1300.)
